Welcome to Youth Action Network Website

Image of young volunteers - the VIP Team

Youth Action Network’s vision is for all young people to have the opportunity to participate in youth action volunteering and develop their own solutions to community needs.

We promote the youth action approach as a way of making volunteering for young people a more fulfilling, rewarding and beneficial experience. This approach is summed up in our nine principles of youth action which are at the heart of everything we do – we believe they are a recipe for success.

We have member organisations across the whole of England, who are committed to young people’s participation in voluntary activities with a social benefit. Our network is continually growing as more organisations who are seeking to involve young people in their volunteering want to share with others, learn from what’s worked well and offer their own good practice to help others.

There are many benefits to joining - find out more here Join us

Our young trainers are recruiting

 YANster Trainers flyer

The YANster trainers are young volunteers who work with Youth Action Network to develop training in youth action for both young people and workers.

YANster trainers get asked to travel all over England to deliver training and are asked to take part in Youth Action Network’s national conference each year. If you’ve volunteered locally and feel that you’re ready to take up a national volunteering opportunity, then read on!
