You are here: Volunteers
Working directly with young volunteers has always been important to us and they have been integral to our successes. The young people we work have been recruited through our members and offer a fantastic progression opportunity for young people to take on volunteering opportunities with a national charity.
Youth Action Network has worked directly with young volunteers over the years on various successful projects. Most recently through the VIP and Re:action projects. Over the last 18 months we wanted to work with the volunteers to develop ways they can work with us to deliver our core aims, not just specific projects.
We now have the pleasure of working with the 'YANsters’.
Volunteering at Youth Action Network is great for me I get support and am offered encouragement to always go for it. I often say to people that the people I volunteer with are my family for me they fill a missing gap for the family I lost in Iraq
The skills I have gained over the last two years of volunteering at Youth Action Network have given me the chance to get a job and become confident in English as this is my second language. I have made some amazing friends across England. I would recommend volunteering to everyone it can change your life
